…And we’re off!

Over the past month, I have slowly chipped away at everything that is needed to start my business. It started with testing some of my products on friends and family, but then I moved on to some strangers who could give completely unbiased feedback. My formulas were a hit! So then it was time to get my business license and other legalities squared away… It took a disastrously long time to prove to the city that my business is entirely legal and in compliance with so many layers of regulations. But several hours later, I walked away with a license in hand and made my first bulk order of oils, containers, and other ingredients that I need to make large quantities.

For those of you who are curious, I will initially offer an aftershave balm and spray, but once I sell some of this first batch, I will expand the selection. If you absolutely cannot wait, I am also taking custom orders!

In other news, I have some plans underway for this blog with some concoctions brewing as I write this… Stay tuned for those posts, but in the meantime, I couldn’t leave you without some content!

Recently, I wrote an article for a charming little herb shop in Nevada City, California about natural sweeteners. The sugar issue has come to the attention of many people now with new recommendations for much lower intake than was previously considered healthy. As my former cadets can probably tell you, this is something I am incredibly passionate about! You can read the full article here.

Thank you so much to everyone who has offered their support! There has been so much uncertainty and waiting while my dreams take shape, but I have felt supported the whole way. This is truly my heart’s passion, and I am so excited to share my vision with you.
